If the personalities and challenges are a good fit, the Consultant keeps the developmental activities of the organization on steady course, while it conducts a full search to fill the permanent position; this usually takes three to six months. The organization pays Emmons Berman + Minkin the person’s salary, calculated from the annual compensation for that skill level, pro-rated monthly. The organization does not pay health or other benefits. In turn, EBM pays the Consultant. EBM shoulders all the contractual work. An administrative fee is paid to EBM by the nonprofit organization.
